The job
Show professional drywall finishing, step by step. Myron Ferguson compared three ways to apply joint compound, using USG Sheetrock® Brand products.
What we made
A four-part online series, short clips for social media, and the photos for a print feature. One of those photos became the cover of Fine Homebuilding Issue 317 (Aug/Sept 2023).
How we made it
A week on location at a Habitat for Humanity remodel. Andres was the whole crew: all the video, the sound and the stills. It was his first project as a Fine Homebuilding employee. Then he retouched the chosen photos for print, balancing the light and the texture so the smooth walls show on a glossy cover.
