The job
Fine Homebuilding wanted a ZIP System tutorial made for its Spanish-speaking audience from the start, not English with subtitles. ZIP System sponsored the video. Framer Tim Uhler shows the whole install on an exterior wall, sheathed flat on the deck before it’s stood up.
What we made
A step-by-step tutorial with its own Spanish narration: squaring the wall, setting up the nailer, laying out the panels, marking and cutting the window openings, saving material at the end of the wall, and taping the seams.
How we made it
Andres worked on camera next to Tim, learning the method as they went, while Fine Homebuilding’s executive producer ran the main camera. Then Andres edited the film and wrote and recorded the Spanish narration, in his own words, the way he learned it.
